Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of an Erbend Folding Machine. This guide provides essential pre-installation information to ensure a smooth setup. Proper preparation will prevent installation delays and ensure optimal machine performance.
Machine Location
- A minimum of 1500mm safety space should be provided around all sides of the machine.
- Ensure the installation site has a flat and stable surface.
- Refer to the floor layout for proper spacing and anchoring bolt instructions.
Electrical Requirements
- Machines require a 380V 3-phase power connection.
- Ensure the correct voltage and amperage are provided.
- A qualified electrician should verify the electrical setup before installation.
- Transformer installation is required if facility voltage differs from machine specifications.
Grounding Requirements
- A proper earth grounding system must be in place before operating the machine.
- The machine will not start until grounding is confirmed.
- Ensure proper grounding wire connection before powering on the system.
Lifting and Transportation
- Use lifting lugs located on the machine housing frames for safe lifting.
- Do not use a forklift; lifting must be done using an overhead hoist or crane.
- Transport the machine carefully to avoid damage.
Delivery and Inspection
- Inspect the machine thoroughly upon delivery.
- Report any shipping damages on the Bill of Lading immediately.
- Take photographs of any damage for documentation.
- Notify Erbend Service if any issues are detected during delivery.
Installation Requirements
- Ensure proper placement of leveling plates before unhooking lifting equipment.
- Check machine alignment using a precision level.
- Anchor bolts should only be tightened after the machine is leveled.
- Steel leveling plates must be used for anchoring.
Anchoring and Leveling
- Level the machine using precision tools before finalizing installation.
- Anchoring bolts should be installed only after leveling is complete.
- Recommended anchor bolts: 0.75” x 10” steel anchors.
- Machine should be secured to a reinforced concrete pad.
Operator Training
- Operator training should only begin after installation and calibration.
- All machine axes must be calibrated to prevent unwanted movements.
- Ensure all safety systems are tested before operation.
