Technician/trainer

CNC fiber Laser Cutting Technician/trainer

Be part of a winning team. Mac-Tech is seeking qualified service technicians to join our growing first-class service department.
Applicants should have experience with electronic/electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills. You will provide first-class technical service, support, and installation for our laser cutting machines. Strong computer knowledge and familiarity with service management software are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • New product installations; including commissioning, functional testing, and operator training
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service while at customer locations
  • Read, understand, and work with blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals, and other documentation
  • Log service activity in Service Management System along with expense and time tracking weekly
  • Support sales as necessary on product demonstrations
  • Communicate with the Service Manager to ensure customer expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Previous industrial machine tool equipment experience troubleshooting and repairing laser cutting machines.
  • A clear understanding of mechanical, electro-mechanical, servo-electric, electrical, and hydraulic control devices. Experience with Precitec head or similar is preferred
  • Understanding of CNC Controls and their related applications
  • Ability to read, understand, and draft electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings
  • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and CAD/CAM experience a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems from issue description, through schematics to diagnosis and repair.
  • Technical training or a certificate in the related field is a plus
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Monday-Friday, occasional overtime, and some overnight travel

Technician

Press Brake Technician

Join the winning team at Mac-Tech! We’re looking for skilled service technicians to provide first-class service, support, and installation for press brake machines in our growing service department.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and train operators on new press brake equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.Use electronic and mechanical diagnostic tools for precise troubleshooting.
  • Repair or replace components such as pneumatic systems, electrical switches, motors, fuses, and lighting.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and log all service activities in the Service Management System.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during site visits.
  • Support sales with product demonstrations as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in diagnosing and repairing press brake equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics (Cybelec or Delem control experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and CAD/CAM systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Technical certification or training in related fields is highly desirable.
  • Independent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including some overnight trips.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and lead follow-ups.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations using tools like Teams, Zoom, and GoToMeeting.
  • Explain and showcase the features and benefits of Mac-Tech’s products and services.
  • Maintain and update the prospect database, ensuring accurate and actionable data.
  • Research new leads and target accounts using resources like EDA Data.Assist with promoting, organizing, and participating in customer open houses, trade shows, and events.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support ongoing projects and achieve sales objectives.
  • Identify and manage opportunities for pre-owned equipment sales on platforms like MachineTools.com and SurplusRecord.com.
  • Stay current with product knowledge, competitor offerings, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms like PowerCRM is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable conducting virtual presentations and leveraging tools like Zoom.
  • Strong organizational and research skills for lead generation and database management.
  • Previous sales experience in manufacturing technology or a related field is a bonus.
