RYTECH FORCE ONE Press Brake Capacity and Fit

Overview

The RYTECH FORCE ONE can fit repeat bending when the selected force, working length, tooling and part clearance suit representative jobs; its listed configurations are not universal thickness ratings.

  • Compare the four listed models (132.28 or 198.42 U.S. tons; 118.11 or 157.48 inches working length) with actual bends. Usable bending lengths are listed separately, so confirm the quoted dimension and tool span.
  • Select force using material and thickness range, active bend length, forming method, V-die opening and tooling load limits—not thickness alone. Check the 18.50-inch daylight and 9.84-inch stroke against tooling, flange progression and part handling clearance.
  • Confirm the supplied RYCrown implementation because its descriptions conflict, and verify the clamping style and compatibility with existing tooling; hydraulic clamping arrangements are options.

The RYTECH FORCE ONE is a CNC hydraulic press brake for repeat sheet- and plate-bending when the selected force, working length, tooling, and part clearance match the job. For fabricators in Illinois and Indiana, its listed configurations offer concrete options to compare with actual production work—not a universal thickness rating.

Match force and length to the bend

The four listed FORCE ONE models pair 132.28 or 198.42 U.S. tons with working lengths of 118.11 or 157.48 inches. Usable bending lengths are listed separately as 122.05 or 161.42 inches, so confirm which dimension governs the quoted configuration and the part’s tool span. The values define listed machine choices; they do not establish a material-thickness limit.

Determine force fit from the material and thickness range, active bend length, forming method, V-die opening, and tooling load limits. For air bending, use an applicable force reference and confirm the selected machine and tooling data; do not select a force class from thickness alone. Representative drawings should capture the longest bend, target angle and radius, flange geometry, and bend sequence.

Check axes, stroke, and part clearance

The standard configuration includes a DELEM 58Tx CNC control, Y1/Y2 ram axes, X and R backgauge axes, a RYGauge backgauge, and RYVision LED positioning. That arrangement can suit programmed repeat and multi-bend work when its ram and gauging movements match the part sequence. Z1/Z2 and X2 axes, alternative controls, angle control, sheet followers, and offline programming are listed options; select them for a demonstrated control, gauging, or handling need.

The listed machine has 18.50 inches of daylight and a 9.84-inch cylinder stroke. Check those dimensions against the tooling stack, punch and die, flange progression, and the clearance needed to load, rotate, and remove the formed part. Deep channels and boxes may need more open height, and holders or adapters use some of the available space. A job can fit the nominal force and bend length yet still be impractical if the tooling or formed part cannot clear the machine.

Verify crowning and clamping in the quote

Press-brake deflection under load can contribute to angle variation along a bend, and crowning compensates for machine deflection. RYCrown is listed as standard, but its published descriptions conflict: the feature description calls it dynamic, CNC-controlled, and automatic, while the standard-equipment table calls it mechanical. Confirm the supplied implementation and how it operates. Evaluate a representative loaded bend and measure angles at the ends and center; do not treat crowning as a guarantee of a particular result or as a correction for material variation and springback.

The standard configuration specifies RYLock manual European-type single-side upper clamping and manual bottom clamping. Hydraulic RYLock and other hydraulic clamping arrangements are listed as options. The quick-change tooling description does not settle which interface is included in a particular quote, so verify the supplied clamping style and compatibility with existing punches and dies before planning changeovers.

Review representative production work

A useful fit review starts with parts that represent both routine production and the most demanding bend. Compare material grades and measured thickness range, longest active bend, angle and radius requirements, flange and removal clearance, bend sequence, and current punch-and-die details with the selected machine and tooling. For longer bends, measure across the part under the intended material and tooling to assess angle variation rather than assuming the crowning description alone predicts the result.

I’m Adam Quoss, Mac-Tech’s Vice President of Sales for Illinois and Indiana. My work includes press-brake tooling, CNC controls, training, and implementation. I can help assess FORCE ONE configuration fit; bring representative part drawings, material grades and thickness ranges, bend lengths, angles and tolerances, bend sequence, and current punch-and-die details, along with any deep-channel or clearance constraints.
