Introduction

This guide provides detailed instructions for updating CNC system software. Following these steps will ensure a smooth and successful software update process.

Required Equipment

• USB stick (included with the machine).
• Administrator login credentials.
• Stable power supply (do not interrupt the update process).

Step-by-Step Update Process

1. Plug the USB stick into a PC.
2. Copy the file with the .zip extension to USB:\STEP\NC.
3. Copy the file with the .hex extension to USB:\STEP\MOTION.
4. Remove the USB stick from the PC and insert it into the CNC machine.
5. Log in with the ADMINISTRATOR account (default password: 1409).
6. Navigate to MENU > UPDATE VERS. > UPDATE CN and confirm.
7. Wait until the update process completes.

Validating Machine Data

• Once the update process is complete, reboot the machine.
• Navigate to MENU > TURN OFF > REBOOT.
• Click the PARAM. VALIDATE button.
• Wait until you see the message: “Machine data correctly reformatted.”

Device Update

• Log in again using the ADMINISTRATOR account.
• Go to MENU > UPDATE VERS. > UPDATE DEVICES and confirm.
• WARNING: Do not turn off the machine until the update process is complete.
• Wait until the programming process is finished, then close the dialog box.

Finalizing the Update

• Shut down the machine by navigating to MENU > TURN OFF > SHUTDOWN.
• Turn off the main power switch.
• Wait at least 10 seconds before turning the machine back on.
• The software update is now complete, and the machine is ready for use.
