Stefa VHX Double Folder
The Stefa VHX Series is a next-generation hybrid power double folder designed for high-performance metal bending in large-format applications. Available in 21′ (VHX 6) and 27.5′ (VHX 8) models, the VHX delivers powerful and precise folding up to 14-gauge mild steel (2mm St40).
Engineered with a high-strength S690 tool set, the VHX comes equipped with an intuitive 2D graphical control system, gripper-finger back gauge, and extendable handling table—offering superior control, flexibility, and efficiency on every bend. The innovative design includes oversized tool clearance, 25mm thick clamping arms, manual crowning adjustment, and a built-in shear mounted to the frame to maximize workspace.
Simple hydraulics and electrical systems reduce maintenance complexity and cost, while integrated safety curtains and clamp lasers ensure operator protection.

Positive and Negative Bending
The positive and negative bending introduce a new, efficient process for sheet metal folding. This will increase the speed of production and reduce the time required to handle the material, in comparation with the tradiotional benders.
The bending beams have a reinforced tool that can be removed to achieve smaller bends.
Hybrid Technology
Servo Hydraulic Pump Technology ensures a fast, precise production cycle with accurate control of acceleration and velocity via closed- loop control. It features idle phases that require no hydraulic power, increasing efficiency as idle time grows.And due some axis are electric, they easily can work at the same time reducing time of positioning between the steps.
Automatic Production
The gripper securely holds the material, and automatic positioning handles the job—eliminating the need for operator intervention in most cases. It features two backstops, front and rear, allowing 90º bends up to 45 mm in height.
If needed, a standard backstop can be used for semi- automatic operation, similar to traditional folders.
Safety Area
The double folder Stefa VHX is equipped with physical fences around the machine. On the front, when the machine is in automatic production, the safety lasers monitor the danger area to avoid any intrudes when the machine is running. When the machine is in semi- automatic operation individual lasers protect finger and hands in the clamping beam and shear danger areas. In this mode, the operator can work with pedals. Additionally, the side guards can be retractable to achieve more space on the working area.
