Description

The FICEP Excalibur 12 (1201DE) is a space-efficient beam drilling machine requiring only 50% of the floor space of conventional lines. Its cantilevered drill system does not touch the floor, while a 4,000 RPM ball screw spindle feed maximizes carbide tooling performance. The sub-axis positions only the spindle, allowing high productivity, precision, and scribing without stressing the linear bearings. The direct drive spindle delivers full motor power without transmission loss, and the drill system is rack-and-pinion positioned and clamped above and below the table for maximum stability. Pegaso CNC control integrates PC, CNC, and PLC on a single board, supporting up to 32 axes via CanBus and EtherCAT. The sub-axis enables milling, scribing, and multi-hole drilling in X/Y without moving the main drill, and non-contact laser probing ensures precise hole placement by compensating for material positioning and tolerances. A remote control allows operators to monitor functions during loading and unloading, enabling simultaneous drilling and material handling, all in a CE-compliant, ergonomically designed package.
